Hounds 4 Homes Inc. is an independent charity. We place retired racing greyhounds in suitable homes throughout New Zealand. We are an all-volunteer organisation, so everything you give goes directly towards helping greyhounds.

Hounds 4 Homes is racing neutral. We receive no racing industry funding.

We would like to thank The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive for their generous support over the past two years.

Hounds 4 Homes Inc. is registered as a charitable entity under the Charities Act 2005. Registration number: CC29400. It has donee organisation status with the Inland Revenue Department. Individuals can claim a tax credit (formerly rebate) and Maori authorities and certain companies can claim a deduction for donations to Hounds 4 Homes.

Come to our Greyhound Walks

We hold greyhound walks in Christchurch several times a year for people who adopted ex-racers to come and meet others who might be interested in adopting one, too. If you would like to come and meet these special dogs, please contact us to find out more - and do read about our events.
